What We Do
Sustainable tourism begins with much needed tourism education of the youth at grass roots level and instilling a positive awareness of the tourism industry amongst youth.
The Africa Adventure Cape to Cape Foundation is
a non-profit organisation working throughout South Africa to promote
sustainable tourism development through partnerships with schools,
communities, NGOs and corporations.
Much needed educational resources are brought within reach of young learners, thereby affording them opportunities to become stakeholders in the tourism industry through a number of initiatives and programmes including:
Development and co-ordination of projects and programmes through productive partnerships with stakeholders in the tourism industry.
Networking assistance with accessing funds, equipment and materials for training centres supporting and / or developing skills programmes to address unemployment through sustainable tourism development.
Career guidance and counselling services to youth
Connecting learners with established learnership programmes in the tourism industry through an extensive network of tourism service providers
The provision of scholarships or bursaries for study, research and teaching
Once the Africa Adventure Cape to Cape Foundation
commits to support a project or young person on their way to tourism
education, all the material and social needs are evaluated and where
necessary provided.
We include social and financial auditing systems
to ensure that the funds are used solely for the intended purpose,
namely tourism education and responsible tourism development.
