Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre, South Africa
Moholoholo
Rehabilitation Centre

Our centre stands as an educational icon when it comes to matters of the bush.  It is the only centre of its kind in South Africa that could return animals and birds back into the wild on site.

We are also known as "The Save Heaven for the Magnificent Seven", and here are the "Magnificent Seven":

Black Eagle Aquila verreauxii
Martial Eagle Polemaetus bellicosus
African Fish Eagle Haliaeetus vocifer
Crowned Eagle Stephanoaetus coronatus
Tawny Eagle Aquila rapax
Bateleur Eagle Terathopius ecaudatus
Giant Eagle Owl Bubo lacteus
.
The aim of our centre is to give people hands-on experience in the nature aspect of life and to bring to their attention the fact of our fast disappearing environment. Wildlife
Antelope and bird of prey Till today close to 170 species of birds and animals have succesfully been released.  This includes lion, hyena, cervals and pythons. We care even for a small baby hippo and a zebra.

We run also a breeding project on the endangered crowned eagle, and we are the only centre in the world to successfully breed the cerval - of which more than 40 have been released in the wild.

Moholoholo invites you for an unforgettable visit which will support our work and help us to save the lifes of many animals and birds.

Or do you want to join us for a "living in the wild" Course or enjoy some wonderful days in the bush in our Forest Camp or in our Mountain View Camp?
